Platform Evolution:
Transforming the POC (Proof of Concept) into a fully functional go-to-market application required comprehensive user experience design from the ground up, a true “0-1” product journey.
Titanbay connects financial institutions and wealth managers with private market investment opportunities. When I joined as Senior Product Designer, I faced a complex challenge: evolving their Minimum Viable Product proof of concept into a comprehensive, market-ready platform that would instill confidence in high-stakes investors.
My approach consistently blends intuitive design with robust business strategy, leveraging research and analytics to deliver impactful user experiences. At Titanbay, I led the transformation of their investment platform from concept to market-ready application.
The project encompassed four critical areas:
Platform Evolution:
Transforming the POC (Proof of Concept) into a fully functional go-to-market application required comprehensive user experience design from the ground up, a true “0-1” product journey.
Regulatory Compliance
Designing an investor onboarding system that seamlessly navigated KYC (Know Your Customer) and due diligence requirements while maintaining user trust and regulatory compliance.
Design System Standardization
The existing design assets lacked consistency and structure, creating inefficiencies for both design and engineering teams that needed immediate resolution.
Advanced Financial Tooling
Building a greenfield investor portfolio construction tool capable of projecting 10-20 year strategic outlooks, requiring sophisticated data visualization and user interaction design.

Research & Strategic Foundation
I began by establishing a deep understanding of user needs and regulatory requirements through comprehensive stakeholder engagement. Working directly with compliance officers and subject-matter experts, I facilitated workshops to map intricate onboarding journeys that balanced regulatory adherence with optimal user experience.
My research phase included competitive analysis of projection tools and data visualization best practices across the financial industry. This informed our design strategy and ensured we would deliver a superior, differentiated experience in the market.

Design System Transformation
Recognizing that sustainable growth required a solid foundation, I prioritized reorganizing and standardizing the fragmented design system.
This involved:
The result was a scalable, maintainable system that reduced design debt and accelerated development velocity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
A critical aspect of the project involved partnering with the data science team to transform complex Excel-based financial models into an intuitive, interactive portfolio projection tool. This collaboration required translating multi-dimensional data into digestible, actionable insights for wealth managers and institutional investors.
I also designed complementary back-office review tools, ensuring the entire investor lifecycle from initial onboarding through ongoing portfolio management was supported with thoughtful, efficient interfaces.
Design Process
Using Figma as my primary design platform, I created comprehensive design artifacts spanning the entire user journey:
To enhance design consistency and team efficiency, I implemented advanced Figma features including boolean/variable components and robust version control practices.

Stakeholder Alignment
I facilitated strategic workshops leveraging group participation to align diverse stakeholders on feature prioritization and project scope. These sessions ensured that immediate business needs were balanced with long-term strategic objectives, creating a clear roadmap for both MVP delivery and future iterations.
Technical Integration
Working within existing technical constraints, I collaborated with compliance teams to design interfaces that integrated seamlessly with their Microsoft PowerApp ecosystem, demonstrating adaptability while maintaining design quality and user experience standards.

Heap.io and User Analytics
I implemented Heap.io tracking across critical user journeys to ground design decisions in actual user behavior. By analyzing interaction patterns, drop-off points, and engagement metrics, I iteratively refined onboarding flows and portfolio interfaces based on quantitative data. This approach strengthened stakeholder presentations by demonstrating measurable behavioral improvements and clear ROI from UX investments.
The successful delivery of this project generated measurable business value across multiple dimensions:
Enhanced Investor Confidence
The compliant, transparent onboarding process significantly improved investor trust and reduced platform risk. Critical factors for success in high-value financial transactions.
Scalable Design Infrastructure
The standardized design system now serves as a robust foundation, enabling faster iteration cycles, consistent user experiences and efficient onboarding for new team members.
Inclusive Stakeholder Process
Through structured workshops and transparent communication, we established a collaborative framework where diverse perspectives were systematically incorporated into design decisions, resulting in a product that truly served all stakeholder needs while maintaining clear strategic direction.
The project successfully positioned Titanbay as a credible, professional platform capable of handling complex institutional investment requirements while providing an intuitive, trustworthy experience for sophisticated financial professionals.
